Dr. Abdus Satter is the president of Satter and Associates, which was formed in Houston upon his retirement from Texaco as Senior Research Consultant. He has four decades of worldwide, diversified experience and expertise in reservoir engineering, reservoir simulator development and applications, water flood, enhanced recovery techniques and reservoir studies and operations. He has numerous publications in these areas. He has been involved in reservoir management projects in the US, UK, Cameroon, Denmark, Indonesia, Nigeria, Trinidad, and others.
In addition to his PennWell Publishing Company book on Computer-Assisted Reservoir Management (2000), he wrote Integrated Petroleum Reservoir Management (1994), and Integrated Water flood Asset Management (1998) books. PennWell Books is publishing his book on Practical and Enhanced Reservoir Engineering: Assisted with Simulation Software.Throughout his career he has been very active in technology transfer, teaching and training.
